Gon. Here is everything advantageous to life.
Ant. True; save means to live.
The Tempest. Act ii. Sc. 1
Okay heres a little theory i thought up.
The Island awards those who it pitties.
Locke- Paralized man who get picked on at work and was not permitted to
go on the walk-about. Island pitties and gives him a nice new set of legs.
Walt- Little Kid who looses his mom and then his dog and his shipwrecked.
Island pitties and gives Walt his dog back and gets everything he wants,
hence rolling 4-3, etc.
Korean Girl- Crossed between her father and husband. In a bad life. Tries
to leave it all but still is entrapped with her husband. Island Pitties
and a plane crashes and gives her an island where her husband is now the
outcast and she has "Michael."
Sawyer- While a kid his parents are both dead and he has a crappy life.
Island pitties and he crashes on an island and he gets all the scavenged
stuff. He holds everyones valuables and they need to go through him to
get what they want.

My take on it is that the island is a sort of god....if you have faith
in it, it will provide for you. Locke seems to have the most devout faith
in the island, and has therefore has been the most rewarded, getting the
feeling in his legs back. However, I'm sure there will be a price to be
paid...I doubt that this "island god" gives something for nothing...

they are indeed one pitful bunch of people. i mean think about it, they're
each that one friend that always has way too much drama in their life

This is a very interesting topic. I agree with all of you...the island
seems to grant wishes but at what price?????

And Locke got the use of his legs back before he did a damn thing.
He didn't earn it, he didn't have to prove how he respected the island.
He just immidiately had the use of his legs.
Jack saved that black lady's life and what has he gotten? Nothing but
pressure.
