Maybe Rose IS right...There's more than one island

It has just dawned on me there could be more than one island. Others survivors could be on one of the other islands.

I think all of us should pay attention to what Rise said. The other part of the plance could have people who were saved or are on another part of te same island. I live on Long Island and many people feel as if there could have been survivors of TWA flight 800. We just felt in theair somehow that not everyone was gone!! I know its freaky but I don't believe everyone perished right away on that flight which could be true for this show.

I can't beleive this hasn't gotten more comments. After all, islands do form in chains.

Well, there isn't any island nearby on the beachside on which the survivors are camped, because there's nothing to see there but the ocean.

But perhaps on one of the other sides of the island?

There could be more islands but even if there isn't..... who knows how large the island is they are on now. If there are other survivors from the tail, they could be on that island just not on that side of the island. It's not like anyone is trekking across the thing. Lack of water (until recently), lack of direction and lack of wanting to be eaten would be a good deterrent for me to not wander off too far from the main!!

The island is unexplored so far. We know almost nothing about it. For all our survivors know, there could be an amusement park on the other side complete with roller coasters. ... Now I'm getting Monkey Island flashes.

The character Rose says very little, but we might pay more attention. She could turn out to be the "oracle" and she keeps rubbing the ring. She said her husband is alive on one of the other islands, indicating possibly, that the island(s) are simply space somewhere in time.

Let's see what happens with the ring.

true there could be more than one island, tis quite within the realms of possibility that. Rose though, more to her than meets the eye i think. She keeps rubbing the ring, the one that "her husband always gives to her for safekeeping when they fly because his finger swells up so she keeps it on a chain on her neck whenever they fly" yeah so anyways THAT ring. Wasnt' on her neck when she was talking to jack in the airplane, which is odd because she always puts it there. Notice the first time we saw her with the ring as well? wasn't on the plane, it was on the island, the beach in fact. Shortly after the crash there is a closeup of her crying and kissing the ring.

maybe rose does know more than the others about some things.

ps:- this has all been said before but heh, rose doesn't get enough posts about her round here.

It would be cool if Rose became the female Locke--not in the sense of performing masculine deeds to save the day, but in imparting wisdom, as when she sagely noted that everyone has PTS. I think they are keeping her cloistered until they need her (for dramatic reasons).
