Full fathom five thy father lies;
  Of his bones are coral made;
Those are pearls that were his eyes:
  Nothing of him that doth fade
But doth suffer a sea-change
Into something rich and strange.

my amusing post...i.e. descent into the lost madness!!!!!!

1.)are the skeletons found in the caves the remains of the CURRENT occupants

2.)shannon IS the French women...in the future. this might explain why the French written on the paper was done so poorly...we all know shannon can't speak or decipher French for crap now and she can't do it in the future either. might also explain why she new the it was "le mer", bc she wrote it in the future and she knows it now

3.)is ethan claires son?? remember what the fortune-teller said?claires unborn son was the "key".

4.)the tide washed up the previous plane and the hatch is the exit only part of an airplane

5.)now we come to most plausible part of this wacky theory LOCKE 1A.)locke was there for jack as he was about to fly off the cliff 1b.)he wasn't there for for claire and charlie 1c.)he was precognicient when it came to the "ramifications of boones experience" 1d.)he was aware of charlies moth and the end result of charlie knowing what to do when he saw it(saves jacks life) 1e.)he knew to the second when it was going to rain

locke knows or remembers what has happened in the past "time convergences" and is trying to get them out the only way he can remember how. now I know this has holes in it but i think i'm on to something and i would appreciate your pro's and con's....and by the way i love the whole john locke philosophical theory. it fits very well...

Re: my amusing post...i.e. descent into the lost madness!!!!

Locke knew when it was going to rain to the sec because he got ahold of "the script" (or helped write it) for their self-discovery/white rabbit journey.

Some kind of time loop could also explain Locke's paralysis. Maybe he gets paralyzed on the island in the future, escapes, loops back or something.

Re: Who/what is the key

Was there something about someone 'taking the key' and we can't get out? Was that one of the messages on the radio?

I wonder if the key is someone or something. It could be Ethan/alex or it could be Claire's baby. Are they trapped inside the bunker/spaceship. Who can't get out - it could be that they can't get off the island - the survivors 'can't get out'

Maybe the Baby is the messiah and will "Free their minds." and spread love.

Re: Who/what is the key

this is really creeping me out...but i like it! just when i think we have some part of if figured out, i read something else totally different and i like that too.....so they are:

lost in space

lost in time

lost on the island

lost out of their minds....

Re: Who/what is the key

Interesting theory. While we are on keys - what's the key around Jack's neck. I can't remeber?

Re:Jack's key

The key around Jack's neck is to the case with the guns in it.

Re:Jack's key

If I understand correctly you wanted to say that Locke somehow remembers what happened to them 16 years ago, right? Makes sense. Claire having dreams is another indicator that she remembers details from their past, which already happened.

more things to support your theory: - Vincent is running away from Walt, losing his collar in the process (or just the leash?)...when Lost starts we see Jack lying in the jungle meeting with Vincent WITHOUT a collar...but that's not very significant if you keep in mind that Vincent most likely had no collar while within the cargo - Sawyer was able to shoot the bear easily because it was already wounded...by Walt and Michael - explains the messed-up tides and the electromagnetic disturbances to some extent - gives a solid explanation as to why Danielle/Shannon coded the map with the song or whatever is going on here...otherwise it would be just for effects

things to compromise your theory: - Why does Danielle not use her real name? What is her story all about? It doesn't check out one bit... - How is determined what is going on backward and what not? The writers could pretty much explain away every slipup and inconsistency that way. Very convenient.
