UPDATE 7.19

 

We are very close to the end of Act II of the LOST Experience. Here's where we're at....(again, breaking down into 3 categories)

 

Rachel - the meeting in Paris never happened. Why? Because GidgetGirl aka Darla Taft (from the Hanso phone line in Act I, not to mention Hugh McIntyre's secret lover and a member of the Global Welfare Consortium) and Hugh McIntyre were killed in an accidental car wreck. And now they've found Rachel too. Luckily for her she's getting help from a Mystery Man (funny enough, its the guy she clobbered with the iron!).

 

But the question still looms - Who Is Rachel Blake REALLY? What is her connection to Hanso?

 

*on a side note, something that I overlooked before.....Rachel mentioned in one of her blogs that her money comes from a severance deal with WIDMORE.

 

RoT - it appears that BroadBandBeatnik has turned on the RoT by placing a video of Mittelwerk on www.broadbandstories.com - and now the "secret" RoT forum is locked up (there are ways in still, just not an "in-game" one).

 

DJ Dan - no podcasts since 7/10, and nothing scheduled in the future. And now there are two new Hanso Ads featuring Mittelwerk on his site. In one, he talks about the Life Extension Project - it can be seen HERE. And in the other, he talks about the Mathematical Forecasting Initiative - it can be seen HERE.

Also of note is the upcoming appearance of Damon Lindelof and Carlton Cuse at Comiccon, where they said in their last Podcast that they would be making a statement about the Hanso Foundation. Coupled with a recent ARTICLE from EW, it is speculated that something MAJOR is gonna go down and end Act II and begin Act III. We shall see.... back

UPDATE 7.23

 

Act II Finale

Through a new email from Wally Bole and a hint from DSLerator on AIM the new password for the secret RoT Forums was figured out - Steinbeck.

 

In the latest entry "3 will, 3 will ROCK you!!!" (taken as Act III will ROCK - and it does) lead to richerdeeperbroader.com where Rachel's final video can be seen. It is an enormous 87.7MB file that downloads very slow. It has been archived on YouTube HERE.

In this video, Rachel explores Darla Taft and Hugh McIntyre's secret flat and finds the "package" that GidgetGirl/Darla had for her.

 

It contained a video from Darla(basically an I'm sorry, but Go Get Em thing), a FAKE ID with Rachel's Pic on it (using the ID Melanie Walker of the Healthway Alliance), information about the SPIDER PROTOCOL (that we don't get to see yet), a MAP of Sri Lanka, a Boarding PASS and plane ticket to Sri Lanka, and BLUEPRINTS for the Hanso-Paik Medical ship the "Helgus Antonius". Note that several of the hatches are marked "Quarantine"......something really bad is happening in Sri Lanka.....

 

And Rachel found out what it was. Now we move onto ACT III...

Act III - hansoexposed.com

 

On 7.22 during the LOST panel at Comiccon in San Diego, Rachel Blake made an appearance announcing the opening of hansoexposed.com - what appears to be the third round of the LOST Experience. Video of this event can be seen HERE.

 

Over the next few weeks, we will be gathering clues from all over the 'net and the real world to access 70 total video fragments to arrange jigsaw puzzle style to watch the complete "Sri Lanka Video". This video will "Tear the Hanso Foundation Apart" says Rachel as she heads underground.

All of the action now will probably revolve around Hansoexposed and the acquisition and completion of the "Sri Lanka Video". For example, we might get a new code at Mandrake Wig's myspace, but the end result will still only be another fragment of the Sri Lanka Video.

UPDATE 8.3

 

Got some action to report here...(in three sections)

 

RoT - the RoT have returned with a new thread, and IMO have a traitor or two in their midst (specifically BroadBandBeatnik and FiberOptician). Basically what happened is BBB claims to have been at Comicon when the Mittelwerk stuff showed up on broadbandstories.com and FiberOptician backed up his story.

Something is not right here.....I feel a disturbance in the Force....

 

DJ Dan - the silent Dan has resurfaced and has announced a LIVE podcast will be taking place next Friday, August 11th (time not confirmed as of yet). Details coming soon....

 

The Sri Lanka Video - we have a little over 1/3 of the video now so here's what we've learned so far -
(note: what you are reading here is my OPINION, a few of these things have not been definitively confirmed yet, but yal know me, I'm gonna get all hyper about it anyways. I'll just eat my Dharma hat later if I'm wrong)

 

- a large chunk of the video is a DHARMA ORIENTATION film starring Alvar Hanso himself.

 

- he has made 2 references to the DeGroots: "If you are watching this film, you already know and have worked with Gerald and Karen DeGroot" and "the precise location of the facility is known only to myself, the DeGroots, the few high ranking members of my organization" (I believe this Facility he's referring to is our ISLAND, and this would confirm that the DeGroots knew all about the Island.)

 

- The Valenzetti Equation predicts the exact number of years and months before humanity extinguishes itself, and is directly linked to the NUMBERS (see the 4?? ...again this is not concrete proof, just the number 4....but I think we all know what comes next...)

 

- the remainder of the video appears to be Mittelwerk instructing a new crew of Dharma recruits

One last note - in the August edition of the LOST magazine there is an ad for Apollo candy with a new website www.apollocandy.com - its registered on the same server as all the in-game sites (Media Temple).

UPDATE 8.12

 

There's been a good deal of activity since the last update, gonna break this up into 4 sections:

 

Apollo Candy - www.apollocandy.com is now active. Its another one of Hanso's subsidiary companies. In September, Apollo candy is going on a 6 date tour of the US, giving out free Apollo bars in the following cities - NYC, Wash.DC, Philly, Chicago, LA, and San Fransisco (more details can be seen HERE)

Rachel Blake - even from the underground, Rachel is finding ways to send us information. She's set up a FLIKR page to give us a glyph, as well as pieces of a memo that when put together, reads the following:

DJ Dan LIVE Podcast - on Aug 11, at 11pm PST, DJ Dan gave a (roughly) 2 hour LIVE podcast on www.radioharvest.com. Here are some of the highlights:

 

- on Monday Aug 14 there will be a glyph on display on a large screen in a major US city (it looks like its going to be Times Square, NYC)

 

- DJ Dan said that Widmore, Hanso, and Paik are connected

 

- both Speaker and Lost Ninja called in and speaker got SHUTDOWN! lol

 

- Malick (the IT guy from Rachel's Paris video who gave her the key to Darla and Hugh's flat) called in with a code that was page numbers from Bad Twin. When you take the first letter of the first word from the pages mentioned in the code, the following message is revealed: I know where he is, I can set it up.

 

- The show was slated for 3 hours, but the Hanso Foundation found DJ Dan a little under 2 hours into the broadcast. On his escape, DJ Dan put a glyph on the door of the radioharvest studio.

The Sri Lanka Video - we now have HALF of the video. Here is an update on what we've learned so far:

- we now have confirmation that the man in the DHARMA Orientation film is indeed Alvar Hanso (he says "I'm Alvar Hanso")

- we also have confirmation that the "top secret facility" is indeed Craphole Island (see THIS shot from the film from a fragment mentioning underground laboratories where research would be done, and showing what appeared to be one or more of the Hatches being built)

UPDATE 8.24

 

Lots to talk about, gonna dive right in....

 

The Sri Lanka Video - instead of telling you where we're at, how about you see for yourself . Here is a LINK to my sequence of 49 of 70 fragments. Now if you want to see where we're at on a daily basis, or if you're waiting for another update in here, I've added a new feature to POST 1 in the hansoexposed.com Discussion Thread that will link you to the most current sequence (you can't miss it....I made it BIG).

 

Sign Language Message - on 8.16, a new picture on Trevtrevtrevor's Flickr page (where one of our glyphs was found previously and has since been removed) had the title "CALL TOM K YEGATO". This message could also be seen by entering the code on the glyph "CHOCOLATES" into sublymonal.com. This message was then turned into a Phone Number with a simple letter to phone pad conversion - 866-593-4286. When you called, a British voice would say "Sod off, I'm watching the Tube" on a repeated loop - this was a hint to search YouTube. The search yeilded THIS video and a secret message in sign language from mel0drama:

 

"I am Mel, friend of Rachel. (Friend of Rachel - I sell Apollo Candy.) Apollo Candy conned Mittlewerk (or vice-versa) into having chemists run tests on...[unclear finger spelling]. Hackett found something important, but Mittlewerk wouldn't allow the results to be given to the competition (he hates the competition), they had a huge argument, and Hackett took...[more unclear fingerspelling] and found a new person to give the information to, who will distribute it. (something about giving away, reference to apollo bar giveaway?) I have to warn (help) people."

RoT - A new thread in the secret forum cleared BroadBandBeatnik for uploading the Mittelwerk videos to broadbandstories.com (though I still don't trust him) - his excuse was he did it for Rachel Blake to embarrass the Hanso Foundation.

Apollo Candy - there are more dates added to the free giveaway. Details can be seen HERE. This giveaway is in conjunction with another new part of the game...

 

WhereIsAlvar.com - written on the Apollo bars is a website - www.whereisalvar.com - and if you go there, you'll find that its a bunch of us collecting Apollo bars from wherever they're offered and taking pictures of ourselves to "show the Hanso Foundation our numbers". Once we reach 100% on the page, Rachel will be providing further instructions. The last date in the promotion is Sept.20th in Santa Monica, CA., so sometime around then I anticipate completion of this mission. Of course I'll update should we hit our goal sooner. back

UPDATE 9.9

 

The LOST Experience is nearing its end. Unless there is more significant action in the next 2 weeks, this will be the second to last UPDATE of the ARG Map and Travel Guide. Things have already begun to wind down.

 

 

HansoExposed/The Sri Lanka Video - Act III of The LOST Experience has come to a close with the completed Sri Lanka Video from HansoExposed.com. The completed video can be seen HERE on the HansoExposed site, or HERE on YouTube from timdorr of the Fuselage.

 

The first half of the video is Alvar Hanso's original Orientation film for the Dharma Initiative. In it, he explains the meaning of the NUMBERS. It's alot more fun to hear it from "HIM", so insead of me spoiling it, check out the video.

 

The second half of the video reveals what Mittelwerk is up to in Sri Lanka - engineering a virus to kill 30% of the world's population to change one of the core factors of the Valenzetti Equation (the NUMBERS).

 

RoT - I think the RoT may have made their final post. They all sign off at the end like its their "thanks and farewell."

 

WhereIsAlvar? - this is the one remaining question left in the LOST Experience that we still need an answer to. It is my prediction that when whereisalvar.com reaches 100%, Rachel will direct us to a video of a meeting between her and the man HIMself, Alvar Hanso (that was set up by Malik - the message delivered during DJ Dan's LIVE Podcast) that will answer this question as well as several others. The last date in the Apollo candy bar giveaway is Wed., Sept 20 in San Fransisco, so I believe it will likely be on either Thurs the 21st or Friday the 22nd, that WhereIsAlvar.com will reach 100%, and we will get the Finale of the LOST Experience.

 

DJ Dan - its no big secret that DJ Dan is really Javier Grillo Marxuach and that Javi himself is responsible for alot of the content of the LOST Experience. So to close it all out, DJ Dan is giving one last LIVE Podcast on Saturday, September 23rd at 8am PST/11am EST. It should be really really good. Details about where it can be heard have not yet been released, so keep an eye on new posts in the DJDan Discussion thread if you're interested in hearing it live (I'm sure it will be available for download later also, and I will include a link to it in the final update in here). back

UPDATE 9.19

 

Need to make a few corrections from the last Update as well as set up the grand finale of The LOST Experience.

 

Rachel Blake - through many different methods, and always in code, Rachel has been talking again with Malik, the "fixer guy"/the Iron guy.
The following is their conversation to date:

Rachel - M--Conscience is keeping you in the fight is it? Heard you call in to DJ Dan. If you're talking about who I think you are then you already know my answer

Malik - R -- I think it's fair to say, whatever conscience I have was built on faulty equipment. This is a matter of duty. Loyalty... Speaking of which, I've been troubled by the very recent disappearance of an old friend, de Zylva. We all saw your Sri Lanka video. You were captured at the end, and yet, there you were, blasting those Lost producers in San Diego not a week later. And, I have to wonder... did de Zylva have something to do with that? Do you know what's become of him?

Rachel - I knew you were behind that. I just knew. He never told me, you know? When I hit the ground I was sure I was dead. The camera was broken, they were dragging me to my feet... and then a burst of gunfire in the air. These were SCIENTISTS, unarmed. They hit the ground. But not Mittelwerk. He kept coming until de Zylva turned the shots in his direction. Once Mittelwerk was face down on the ground, de Zylva grabbed my hand and we were gone. With the camera.
He didn't talk. He said he was de Zylva, that was it. We knew Mittelwerk was already in pursuit, but we stuck to tunnels that had been dug out during various wartimes. We had some close calls. The goal was the American embassy in Colombo, but when we got there, we knew that was impossible. It was being watched -- the airport, too. de Zylva said The Hanso Foundation had too much influence in Colombo to take the risk.
And, then, they caught wind of us again. We knew we could be caught at any second, and the only important thing was that video. EVIDENCE of Mittelwerk's world-wide decimation plot. I'd planned for this. All I needed was a secure, high-speed connection. The Hanso goons knew it too. They surrounded the place while I was uploading. We barricaded ourselves, de Zylva knew an escape route. I barely got out, made my way to a friend of de Zylva's who could get me to India. I swear, I waited for de Zylva. But he never came. I'm so sorry

Malik - This is not your fault. As you once shouted at the top of your lungs, we've all got 'blood on our hands.' I just hope my friend is resting easy. Where are you? I'll need you to meet me in Norway.

Rachel - M--I wish it were that simple. Fact is, as much as I want to, I still can't trust you. I want to believe you are the man who helped me in Paris but "de Zylva's" name was not unknown. You could be Mittlewerk himself, springing a trap under my feet. I need confirmation it's you. I need you to tell me something only you could know.

Malik - You lived in 3 different apartments. Be waiting outside your second at 7:45 PM. I'm sending a car. Hope you remember the brand of iron you hit me with, because that's the code.

Malik - R -- I respect your caution. Suppose it's warranted, after all you've come through. I can't remember it exactly, but I think when we were in the stairwell in Paris, you muted the mic as I said "Because he wanted me to help you, and I can't question a man who would launch the Mental Health Appeal... to save a loved one." Say what you will about him now, his heart was once in the right place

Rachel - I'm in NYC

 

WhereIsAlvar? - on Monday 9.18, whereisalvar.com hit 100%. Nothing too huge came out of it, just Rachel telling us to listen to DJ Dan's live podcast this weekend.

 

RoT - well, I was wrong. Today, the RoT made a new thread. Not much info coming out of it other than the fact that iobiSeeingYou thinks she was followed the other day. I think the Hanso Foundation is on to them....

 

DJ Dan - MAJOR UPDATE!!! The date of the LIVE Podcast has changed since the last Update in here. The correct date/time is Sunday, Sept. 24, 8pm PST. The location of the podcast is unannounced as of right now (though I suspect they'll use radioharvest again). DJ Dan also promises a special guest, which is most likely going to be Rachel Blake. This podcast is the grand finale of The LOST Experience.

I will make one final UPDATE after the finale on Sunday (probably Monday/Tuesday next week) along with a closing statement from me.

The LOST Experience has ended (for now...)

 

On 9.21, www.letyourcompassguideyou.com was REMOVED. But remaining was a link to THIS video on YouTube that shows William T. Kilpatrick (WTK) attempting to reveal what he knows about the Hanso Foundation before he is taken by Hanso goons.

The grand finale was DJ Dan's live podcast on Sunday, Sept.24, where as anticipated, his special guest was Rachel Blake. (you can download an mp3 of the 90 minute podcast HERE)

 

At the end, Rachel revealed the truth about her motivations with a video of her meeting with Alvar Hanso, her father. The video can be seen HERE.

 

And as an encore, www.thehansofoundation.org has updated again with THIS message from Alvar Hanso. The creepy thing is, when you click on the word "humanity" at the end of the 3rd paragraph, the screen flashes RED and you see the face of MITTELWERK as he delivers the following final message:

 

You've taken a battle, but that's all it was, a battle.
Humanity needs me, now more than ever.
I have the virus, I have the will, and I will not fail.

 

Also as an added bonus, Javier Grillo-Marxuach (former LOST writer, TLE writer and portrayed the role of DJ Dan in TLE) broke down the 4th wall and answered fans questions about the LOST Experience on his BLOG. I also wouldn't be surprised if Damon and Carlton make a mention of this in the first Official LOST Podcast (from abc.com) for Season 3.

 

In closing, I would like to say that it has given me great pleasure to be able to deliver this ARG Map and Travel Guide to you. I hope you all have found it a useful resource throughout the summer hiatus, and continue to find it useful as we watch S3.
