The Road to Enlightenment

The Maze branches out again from mrclucks links on 11.9.05 with www.globespotter.com ; through this site the World of Vincent Madison is revealed.
mrclucks.com/links->www.globespotter.com->
www.thehansofoundation.org, www.pb-sales.com, www.oceanicworldair.com, changing links to images->mrclucks.com

There have been 4 different images in the links on Globespotter: the plane from the scrapyard in Mojave before LOST bought it, a cap of the tail sinking from "The Other 48 Days", an Advertisement for Oceanic World Air, and a cap of Mr.Eko from "Orientation". They also used to show the Sydney Herald that appeared on OWA.com on their mainpage, this was removed, and now it shows variations of a picture of an Island labeled "Aralai" (updated often), and an unidentified "G" on a separate Island (assumed to be 'Gudgeon').

Then we branch out again (and there are variations of this): mrclucks.com/links->www.globespotter.com->
www.pb-sales.com->www.oceanicworldair.com, www.geocomtex.net, www.merrickbiotech.com->www.clonewatch.org.

Merrick Biotech is a reference to the film "The Island" (Ewan MacGregor), Geocomtex is Dr. Who related, Yoyodine Propulsions (which didn't have a link on PB-Sales) is Buckaroo Banzai related, and Daystrom Data Concepts (also no link) is a Star Trek thing.

There was only one thing in this section of the maze that peaked my interest. This was found on www.clonewatch.org : (with bold comments from me)
This disturbing letter was received by CloneWatch on the 23rd - A LOST Number, and NO YEAR given

Dear Mr. Wallace,
I am a scientist at a genetic research lab where I have worked for the past three years - Desmond has been on the Island for 3 years. My field of research is organ tissue rejection - could this have something to do with the injections?. I joined this lab with the idea that my work would benefit those in need of organ transplants. (As you know, even with cloned organs, rejection is a risk. Factors not considered in donor rejection come into play when the genetics of the organ match those of the recipient).
I have no moral or ethical issues with cloning per se. I think it has staked its place in the scientific and medical world and can only benefit humanity. My disagreement is with the company I now work for. I recently learned that this company
- the Dharma Initiative is being paid huge sums - by the Hanso Foundation to pursue the creation viable clones, just in case they are needed. To me, this is not sound science. It is simply profiteering.
For our day-to-day the scientist receive a standard wage. The amount of profit to the company for our work is unconscionable.

It seemed appropriate to contact you at this juncture, in the hope that I might be able to offer information that might eventually help other scientists and bring the actions of this lab to light.
I am relying on your discretion when contacting me. Please be as circumspect as possible.

Regards,

Moving on. Here is where the variations come into play:

This site (OWA) has been going nuts since it went "online".

The Sydney Heralds (which have since been removed), the disney villain links, the email puzzle (which I have solved and have been in contact with Vincent Madison many times), the Miami Dolphins draft list from the future, the Search Flights page, and the mysterious contact page.
It is one of the more interesting branches of the webmaze as they update alot, and seem to be into correspondance via email. Also here is a slight branch too (from the flights page): mrclucks.com/links->www.globespotter.com->
www.oceanicworldair.com/flights->
thedharmainitiative.org.
This is the only branch of the maze that branches to one of the Dharma sites.

Approx.12.3.05 OWA branched off to www.aralai.com which currently is an image that containes steganography. The hidden image is of "Gudgeon Bay" and is very blurred. Since Aralai.com was added after the links at mrclucks changed, a New Branch is created: Oceanicworldair.com->Aralai.com
www.oceanicworldair.com is currently the "hub" of the World of Vincent Madison. The site offers many things for the avid LOST fan. Participation is rewarded.

The "news" stories on OWA are about the purchase of Oceanic Air. Here is the one from Nov 1:

TORONTO – Nov 1, 2005 - PB-Sales (TSX: PBS.T) announced today that it has agreed to acquire the assets of the former Oceanic Airlines, in a transaction valued at approximately $750 million.
Oceanic Airlines based in Los Angeles, CA, was founded in 1980 and ceased operations in January 2005. Oceanic experienced financial difficulties after the September 11, 2001 terrorist attacks along with most other commercial airlines, and reduced their fleet in 2002 from 23 to 8 aircraft in an attempt to maintain profitability.
Oceanic lost several class action lawsuits in relation to a terrorist attack on Flight 343 from Athens to Dulles in 1996, as well as an incident involving nerve gas in 2000 on Flight 762, from Sydney to Los Angeles. Although Oceanic implemented security measures to reduce the risk of terrorist attacks, the class action suit for the loss of Flight 815 in September 2004 for over $4B USD plunged Oceanic into Chapter 13 bankruptcy from which it could not recover.
Oceanic Flight 815 went missing under mysterious circumstances on a flight from Sydney to Los Angeles. No trace was ever found of Flight 815 despite intensive search and rescue operations, and the investigation concluded that the Boeing 777 aircraft with over 300 passengers broke apart on impact with the Pacific and sank without a trace.
Oceanic Airlines ceased operations on January 24th 2005 . President and founder Michael Orteig expressed regret that Oceanic had to cease operations after 25 years.
The offer to purchase the remaining assets of Oceanic Airlines by PB-Sales is considered to be a risky proposition in an industry that has faced huge financial and safety issues over the past 4 years, however PB-Sales is optimistic that Oceanic can be a viable operation focusing on the lucrative South-Pacific routes.
FAA review and approval is required prior to Oceanic being able to start flying, however PB-Sales is confident that the approval will be forthcoming and that Oceanic Airlines may be flying again as early as December 2005.
“We are excited about Oceanic Airlines and its prospects and are eager to provide a superior experience in terms of comfort and safety under the well respected Oceanic name.” said Vincent Madison, Director of Corporate Communications for PB-Sales. “The company has a long history of service in the South Pacific and attractive growth opportunities.”
The acquisition is subject to customary conditions, including receipt of required regulatory approvals, and is expected to close before the end of year or in early 2006.

- The Merrick Biotech webpage is a "mock hack" flash gif by www.clonewatch.org, a site about human cloning. Their archives were "mysteriously" missing however; they blame it on a virus, so I'm not sure about this one. Merrick Biotech is a reference from the movie "the Island" starring Ewan MacGregor. (see notes on Clonewatch for more info - this COULD be LOST related, it's a stretch)

- The Geocomtex webpage is a fansite for the tv show Dr.Who - I'm beginning to get the impression these businesses are just a creative "links" page where the site runner posts his/her interests in the form of internet links
- The one thing from clonewatch that made me think was the news alert #236. It really sounds like it might be DESMOND.

- Yoyodine Propulsion Systems is a Buckaroo Banzai fansite, and Daystrom Data Concepts is a StarTrek fan thing (no direct site found), so these businesses are just links (unless the clonewatch letter is LOST related and it's Desmond or Kelvin or DeGroot).

- Another email, this time asking for a resume, gonna send em mine, see what happens.

- The contact page gives Vincent Madison's email (vdmadison@pb-sales.com), emailed him too. And the phone numbers in TUSTIN, CA (home of our own John Locke) are 555s but the location is what we're supposed to see.

- The emails (both) send back and autoresponse basically saying nothing important. Update: the emails are now active.

- The legal page does NOT link to a Disney disclaimer or an ABC disclaimer either, they have their own mumbo jumbo that doesn't really mean anything.
